About Us

Who am I, and what is Lofi?

Before starting Lofi, I spent 25 years in design, development, and innovation in the outdoor and snow sports industries. I was fortunate enough to work with athletes, guides, photographers, and all kinds of outdoor enthusiasts. I’ve designed and developed apparel and packs for hiking, backpacking, skiing—even dog sledding.
From designing Olympic uniforms for freestyle ski teams in the U.S. and Canada to product testing in Death Valley with ultramarathoners in the heart of summer, it’s fair to say I’ve spent a lot of time listening to the problems that come with living life outside. Those experiences, and the people behind them, helped me build a skill set that puts the user first. There are two things this work has taught me above all else.

First: listen to the consumer. If you’re out there doing the work, you’ll tell me what’s wrong one way or another.
Through years of listening and learning about needs for gear and clothing, I started noticing another theme emerge—skin struggles. Sun, cold, snow, wind, sand, mud, chafing…the elements and the sport can be hell on the skin, but I also know that you’ll be damned if it’s going to stop you, even if you haven’t found products that address your needs just yet.
Which brings me to the second lesson:
Obsess the final product. Test it. Field test it. Battle test it. Pressure test it. Then test it again—until it’s something that can truly be relied upon.
For the wild ones living life outside, it has to start with listening to the challenges—and then obsessing over creating tools that help us push through them. One thing I know for certain: we can’t just build aesthetics; which quite honestly is all most of the skincare industry is about. For those who demand more, performance is everything.
Let’s be real—this is still skincare. But I’m committed to building products with and for you: the outsiders, the dirty and scuffed up but smiling-all-the-way wild ones. I really hope what you find here does NOT make you comfortable. I hope it helps you recover faster so you can get your ass back to work—without letting something like battered skin get in the way.

Goals

Purposeful product

Everything we make solves a real problem or it doesn't get made. Multifunctional by design — fewer steps, less fluff, better results.

Environmental Integrity:

The greenest move is to buy, use, and waste less — so we build products that replace several. Fewer items, less waste, and honest about the trade-offs.

Honesty:

We never inflate claims, chase trends, or greenwash — if a product has limits, we say so. We'd rather earn trust than win a sale. Hype fades. Trust doesn't.

vision

We believe skin health is part of performance. Not a pause. Not a reward. Not a lifestyle upgrade. LoFi is what comes after the effort — so you can go again, again, and again.

Mud. Sweat. Cold. Heat. Repeat. No rituals. No vanity. No excuses. Just products that keep up.

Mission

LoFi exists to replace lifestyle skincare with performance - grade skin gear — so you can recover fast and go again.

Values

  • No “me too” products. If it doesn’t improve something, we don’t make it.

  • Consumer above all else. Real lives, real conditions, real needs.

  • Integrity and honesty in marketing. No hype, no greenwashing, no science-washing.

  • Community education over persuasion. Informed users are stronger users.

  • Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast. We build deliberately so things work when it counts.

  • Support the lives athletes actually live — not the fantasy marketing sells.

  • Build a dynamic, living community, not an audience.
